At Christ the King School our Social-Emotional Learning Curriculum is based on the Sanford Harmony Program, and the Empowering Education Program. The Harmony curriculum is the combination of mindfulness, brain-based learning, and cognitive behavioral theory within a God-centered environment.

Our program promotes cognitive, intrapersonal, and interpersonal competence, providing students with necessary knowledge and tools to:

-
increase self-awareness and self-regulation on a moment-to-moment basis,
-
modulate behavior based on an understanding of the biological and age-appropiate underpinnings of human behavior and emotions, and
-
make responsible decisions based on an understanding of Jesus Christ as our example and the dynamic interplay between thoughts, emotions and behavior.
